Micro Plastic: The Ringing Alarm

No doubt science has become the helping hand in every aspect of life. There is not a single thing where science not provided a solution/alternative in the past ages of stone people use to eat, drink and put the grains, liquids in pots. As the time change these pots were replaced by bras utensils, copper utensils this continued thousands of years. Then these were replaced by copper steel, glass utensils. This was very difficult to manage the bulk count of these pots utensils in case of large gathering and family festivals. Then plastic turned out to be a cost effective replacement of all of the above. It is very easy to manufacture plastic item and to hold to carry from one place to another. Slowly every packed item turned into plastic carry bags .Plastic is developed by polymerization process which is a chemical process and used condensation of millions of low density polythene particles. Remember these particles are never dying even by burning neither by burying them in soil or flowing in water. This quality of polythene, plastic is beneficial as well as has harmful health and environmental hazards. Now a day’s plastic is being used such a large scale that we can see a plastic pin to a aero plane wind shield is made of plastic or plastic content. We are using plastic not only in our professional life but in daily common meals also. We are drinking a cold drink which comes in a plastic bottle, Maggie packet even milk has turned to be in plastic bags. On one part things are looking easy and comfortable but on the other hand this is very drastic. This micro content of plastic has reached our body which is a major cause of crucial diseases like cancer, tumor, and heart diseases recent study has shown that micro plastic has reached in our blood also. The second process is biological magnification in which the polymer contents in the name of pesticides, fungicides has affected the whole food chain or even the complete environmental and biological system. Farmers use this pesticide for crops in order to have better production and to save the crops from pests, fungi and other diseases. The agriculture produce consumed by buffalos, cows and goats. Then these pesticides content reach in human body consuming milk and other product provided by these cattles. This is call food chain and complete bio diversity exist because of this food chain. Now this is an alarming situation that we have to minimize the use of plastic but we are too much addicted to usages of plastic that every second thing that is being used in daily life is made up of plastic like disposal glass chips packet shampoo sachet hair comb etc. One of the major drawbacks of using plastic is that it cannot be decomposed by any method. Due to this large heap of plastic can be seen in every urban city in New Delhi. A heap in the size of mountain is a symbol of upcoming danger.  This is not the situation of only Delhi tons of plastic waste is produced in every sub- urban city. The situation in rural area is a bit better but not the best. Because people in rural area are connected with domestic product and less depend on the plastic products. This has been also proved that during the covid-19

Pandemic when rural areas are less affected as compared to metro areas. Govt. has taken many steps to stop the use of plastic as recently a campaign was started ban single use plastic also recyclable plastic bags has also been launched by some companies. But this is not enough because every human being is equaled responsible for the situation. So in order to counterfeit all of us has to take responsibility to minimize the use of plastic, solid waste management plant should be developed in each city and 3-R process Reduced, reuse and recycle must be used.

Everyone should participate in the program started by government like sawachta abhiyan , namami gange, ped lagao desh bachao to help the govt. efforts for saving the environment. We should follow the guideline made by the govt. regarding the use of plastic and obey the rules at any public place. Efforts are also been made at global level also by the bilateral, trilateral treaties for saving the earth from pollution by plastic garbage. Some efforts in this regards are global earth submit held at Kopenghan, Paris climate agreement, Nagoya protocol, quoto protocol which are responsible to put a check on usage of plastic and, e waste, carbon emission India has signed this treaties from 1970s. And efforts are made by central govt. and state govt. to make the environment green and clean. Lets us take an oath to minimize the use of plastic and plant one tree every year.

Self Driving Trucks: Logistics on New Heights

In real life, consumers will not advocate as strongly for self driving trucks as the business owner with a multi million dollar profit opportunity. There will be concerns regarding consumer self driving trucks that will pressure regulators and slow the process. But business will spend the dollars to make it’s case and approvals will come. Trucks will have CDL personnel in the cab when self driving trucks operations begin and they will be restricted to limited access highways and small distances beyond the off ramp. A single 24 hour ‘driver monitor’ replaces two team drivers. Later the monitor is removed because over the road saFDV trucks will have ‘x’ billion miles of safe driving” Truck drivers will be terminally unemployed. There is no natural next job for this set of skills. And, yes, this is a problem. In the beginning, the shortage of employees and attrition will help balance the negative effects of the faSDV truck. The problem is that the transition period will be relatively...

Drinking Water Crisis: Need of the Hour

Water one of the essential element of nature, being the necessity of life for existence is thought to be found around 400 billion years ago with evolution of the living planet, The Earth. Every living body is thought to be formed with five elements and one of the elements is water. Earth appeared to be a livable planet after the evolution of other universe identities as a result of the Big Bang phenomenon. The Big Bang phenomenon was result of fusion and fission and resulted into formation of planets, stars, asteroids, milky way etc. After the rise of planets, earth comes to have water on its surface and due to tectonic activities, the landscape shapes appeared as mountains, plateau, deserts, gorge, rivers, lakes and plains. There are total 7 continents on earth named as Asia, Australia, Europe, South America, North America, Africa and Antarctica. Further these continents have different amount of water bodies like oceans, rivers, lakes and the availability of water is not uniform...
